Mildred 'Billie' Sass

Mildred “Billie” M. Sass, 93, of Temperance, MI, died Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Ebeid Hospice Residence. Born April 8, 1925, in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Emil and Bertha (Frosch) Malohn. She married Robert “Bob” Sass on September 7, 1946. Mildred was a legal secretary for the former Toledo Trust Bank in Toledo, retiring in 1982. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, MI. She enjoyed polka dancing, vacationing at Myrtle Beach and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; sons, Michael (Denise) and Jon (Karen) Sass; granddaughters, Angela (Joe) Viertlbeck and Monica Sass; sister, Barbara Scherer. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marian Bulwin.
Visitation will be from 10:00 – 12:00 noon, Saturday, August 18, 2018, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1690 Sterns Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, OH. Memorials may be made to the church or charity of the donor’s choice.
